In part two of a two-part series, here’s a quick look at seven more companies that are “undermining American solar power,” according to environmental advocacy organization Environment America.

Here, we’ll take a look at what Environment America said about state-level organizations:
At the state level, electric utilities have used the support provided by national anti-solar interests, as well as their own ample resources, to attack key solar energy policies.
Arizona Public Service
Arizona Public Service is the largest utility in Arizona and has found ways to fund anti-net metering advertisements.
Duke Energy
Duke Energy is the biggest utility in the entire country has made contributions to anti-solar politicians in office in Florida and has also helped fund anti-solar campaigns in North Carolina.
American Electric Power (AEP)
American Electric Power (AEP) has actively supported anti-solar activity in both West Virginia and Ohio.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy
Berkshire Hathaway Energy has been involved in numerous campaigns in Utah and Nevada that could effectively halt the growth of solar power.
Salt River Project
The Salt River Project is a public utility in Arizona that has worked to introduce a demand charge for solar customers that will increase utility bills.
FirstEnergy
FirstEnergy has actively fought against renewable energy and net metering in the state of Ohio.
We Energies
We Energies is the largest utility in Wisconsin and has been involved in proposals limiting net metering and also introducing surcharges to solar owners.
