Electronics giant Panasonic announced yesterday that it is now the creator of the most efficient rooftop solar panel in the world.<\/p>\n

This announcement from Panasonic comes just a few days after U.S. residential solar leader SolarCity touted its new rooftop solar panel as the most efficient in the world<\/a>. <\/p>\n

SolarCity made claims to own to world’s most efficient photovoltaic (PV) module, reporting a 22.04 percent module-level efficiency. But Panasonic’s new rooftop panel has a new world-record module conversion efficiency of 22.5 percent. <\/p>\n

The 22.5 percent effiency for the new Panasonic rooftop solar panel is confirmed by third-party Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Panasonic said.<\/p>\n

Daniel Roca, senior business developer at Panasonic Eco Solutions Europe, said in a press release that this new high-efficient module is yet another piece to the puzzle that makes Panasonic a leader in solar\/PV market.<\/p>\n
