{"id":77,"date":"2015-10-19T15:55:02","date_gmt":"2015-10-19T19:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/solarenergylocal.com\/news\/?p=77"},"modified":"2016-01-07T22:01:16","modified_gmt":"2016-01-08T03:01:16","slug":"transparent-solar-cells-could-be-a-reality-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solarenergylocal.com\/news\/transparent-solar-cells-could-be-a-reality-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Transparent solar cells could be a reality soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What if large buildings were able to harvest solar energy not only on rooftops, but across the entire surface of the building itself?<\/p>\n<p>This Sci-Fi-esque question is apparently close to be answered &#8211; and being answered in an emphatic way &#8211; thanks to the work of a Michigan State professor and his team of scientists.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Richard Lunt is working on technology that would allow for seemingly normal windows to actually harvest solar energy.
